Stefano Nepa is ready for his first race on Italian soil with the Reale Avintia Arizona77 team. Nepa, who in the last races made a step forward, will have an extra motivation as he races in Italy. Despite the good performances, Nepa hasn’t been able to get any points in the World Championship yet but the San Marino GP is the best scenario for him to start adding points in the Moto3 world championship standing.

“This weekend we race in Misano, which is my home race. I am very happy to be back in Misano as it is a track where I have very good memories of when I was racing in PreMoto3 and Moto3 in the CIV. I can’t wait to be back on track and try to improve and continue with the performance shown in Silverstone”.

MotoGP  is back after a three-week break since the Silverstone race on August 25th. Just after that race, MotoGP teams had a private test in the Circuit of Misano in order to prepare this weekend’s GP. In that test, Tito Rabat finished 12th and Karel Abraham, who wa injuried in England, could only ride the first day and came out in 23th place. However, both drivers are optimistic about the Italian event.

“I’m looking forward to race in Misano. Unfortunately, I’m taking antibiotics now. It’s unbelievable, I made the last race injured and now this. I hope to be fit to race at my 100%.”

“We did two days of testing in Misano just after the Silverstone GP and they were positive actually because, among other things, we had a good race pace so I really want to kick off the weekend.”

Stefano Nepa está listo para disputar su primera carrera en suelo italiano con el equipo Reale Avintia Arizona77. Nepa, que en las últimas carreras ha demostrado haber dado un paso adelante, contará este fin de semana con el extra de motivación que supone correr en casa. A pesar de las buenas actuaciones, a Nepa aún se le resisten los puntos en el Mundial pero el GP de San Marino es el mejor escenario para él para comenzar a sumar puntos en su casillero.

“Este fin de semana corremos en Misano, la que es para mi la carrera de casa. Estoy muy contento de volver a Misano porque es una pista en la que tengo muy buenos recuerdos de cuando corría en PreMoto3 y en Moto3 en el CIV. No veo el momento de volver a pista para intentar mejorar y seguir con el rendimiento mostrado el viernes de Silverstone”.

El Mundial de MotoGP regresa después de tres semanas de parón desde la carrera de Silverstone el pasado 25 de agosto. Justo después de dicha prueba, los equipos de la categoría reina disputaron un test privado en el Circuito de Misano con el objetivo de preparar el GP de este fin de semana. En él, Tito Rabat acabó 12º y Karel Abraham, que arrastraba una lesión producida en Inglaterra, solo pudo rodar el primer día y consiguió el 23º mejor tiempo. Sin embargo, ambos pilotos se muestran optimistas de cara a la cita italiana.

“Estoy deseando correr en Misano. Lamentablemente, estoy tomando antibióticos ahora. Es increíble, la última carrera la hice lesionado y ahora esto. Espero ser lo suficientemente fuerte como para competir al 100%”.

“Hicimos dos días de test en Misano justo después del GP de Silverstone y la verdad es que fueron positivos porque, entre otras cosas, tuvimos un buen ritmo así que tengo muchas ganas de comenzar el fin de semana”.

The Silverstone race was a positive one for Reale Avintia Racing Team riders. On the one hand, Tito Rabat, who was back in the circuit where he suffered a serious injury in his right leg last year, started 16th on the grid and was riding in points positions during some laps, but unfortunately he suffered a crash when fighting to overtake other riders. Karel Abraham, meanwhile, achieved another point by entering 15th after a complicated Saturday in which he qualified last after suffering a crash and some technical problems.

The next race will be held at the Misano Circuit in three weeks on September 13th, 14th and 15th.

“On Saturday we thought they wouldn’t let me race after the crash but they finally gave me the fit. During the race I had pain in the muscles of my hands, which were injuried by the crashed of Friday. I was close to retiring from the race but I thought about staying in case someone crashed and we could get some point and it eventually happened. After crashing, Tito was recovering little by little and I was afraid to make too much effort because I was close to pass out, but in the end I could get into the points ahead of him. I hope to be physically recovered for the Misano test on Thursday.”

“The crash has been a shame because we did a great QP, a great warm-up and I was fighting with the group of Zarco, Petrucci and Espargaró but I made a mistake by forcing too much, I ran wide and when I was trying to pass to Guintoli my front wheel locked. It was very hot and the grip of the wheels changed a lot. I want to apologize to the team because we were doing a great job but I made a mistake. ”

El circuito de Silverstone deja a los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team con un buen sabor de boca. Por una parte, Tito Rabat, que regresaba al circuito donde el año pasado sufrió una seria lesión en su pierna derecha, salía desde la 16ª posición en parrilla y estuvo rodando en posiciones de puntos durante algunas vueltas, pero desafortunadamente sufrió una caída cuando peleaba por avanzar posiciones. Karel Abraham, por su parte, logró otro punto al entrar 15º después de un sábado complicado en el que clasificó último tras sufrir una caída y algunos problemas técnicos.
La próxima carrera se disputará en el Circuito de Misano dentro de tres semanas los días 13, 14 y 15 de septiembre.

“El sábado creíamos que no me dejarían correr la carrera después de la caída pero finalmente me dieron el alta. Durante la carrera tenía dolores en los músculos de las manos, que estaban tocados de la caída del viernes. Estuve cerca de retirarme de la carrera pero pensé en quedarme por si alguien se caía y podíamos conseguir algún punto y así fue. Después de caer, Tito me ha ido recuperando segundos poco a poco y tenía miedo de hacer demasiado esfuerzo porque estaba cerca de desmayarme, pero al final pude entrar en los puntos por delante de él. Espero estar recuperado físicamente de cara al test de Misano del jueves.”

“La caída ha sido una lástima porque hicimos una gran QP, un gran warm-up y estaba luchando con el grupo de Zarco, Petrucci y Espargaró pero he cometido un error por forzar demasiado, me he ido largo y, al intentar pasar a Guintoli, se me ha cerrado el tren delantero. Hacía mucho calor y el grip de las ruedas cambió mucho. Quiero pedir disculpas al equipo porque lo estábamos haciendo bien pero ha sido un error por mi parte.”

Unlike what happened last year when the intense rain and the bad asphalt situation didn’t allowed the celebration of the race, the British GP could be held normally on this occasion. However, it was again a difficult race for the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 driver, Stefano Nepa, who did not reach the points. The positive is that the gap with the TOP15 was smaller than on other occasions and Nepa is getting closer to achieving the goal.

“It was a positive weekend especially on the first day when in FP2 I set a fast time, however it was a shame that in the FP3 I could not qualify straight to Q2 because it would have been easier to start from the front on sunday. We are improving little by little, I am happy because we have worked well although unfortunately in the race didn’t get a proper result but I am satisfied with the feeling, the rhythm and the lap times. I’ll go with confidence to Misano, with the batteries loaded and eager to race. I would like to thank the team, the sponsors and my family.”

A diferencia de lo ocurrido el año pasado cuando la intensa lluvia y la mala situación del asfalto impidieron la celebración de la prueba, la carrera del Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña pudo celebrarse con normalidad en esta ocasión. Sin embargo, volvió a ser una carrera difícil para el piloto del Reale Avintia Arizona 77, Stefano Nepa, que no pudo llegar a los puntos. La parte positiva es que la diferencia con el TOP15 fue menor que en otras ocasiones y cada vez está más cerca de lograr el objetivo.

“Ha sido un fin de semana positivo sobre todo el primer día cuando el FP2 pude hacer un gran tiempo, sin embargo fue una lástima que en el FP3 no pudiese clasificarme directamente para la Q2 porque de esa manera habría sido más fácil salir delante el domnigo. Estamos mejorando poco a poco, estoy contento porque hemos trabajado bien aunque por desgracia en carrera nos ha faltado materializarlo con un buen resultado pero estoy satisfecho con las sensaciones en pista, el ritmo y los tiempos. Llego con confiaza a Misano, con las pilas cargadas y con ganas. Quisiera dar las gracias al equipo, a los patrocinadores y a mi familia”

The MotoGP World Championship lands this week on the legendary Silverstone circuit (England) on the occasion of the twelfth race of the season. It is the longest track of the entire championship with a length of 5,900m, it has 10 turns to the right and 8 to the left. After the drainage problems that suffered last year that didn’t allowed to dispute the race, the racetrack has been resurfaced this season’s GP.

Regarding the the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders, Tito Rabat is back in the circuit in which he suffered in 2018 the worst injury of his career in his right leg that is still in recovery process. However, the performance shown in the previous races makes the rider from Barcelona be optimistic about this weekend. On the other hand, Karel Abraham arrives at Silverstone motivated after finishing in Top15 in Austria two weeks ago where he achieved a well deserved point.

“Silvestone is one of the racetracks that should fit me quite well. It has mostly fast corners and the track is quite wide. I am looking forward coming back there and Racing. Hopefully it will not rain. We were very unlucky last year as the rain and the asphalt situation did not let us race, but since then the track has been resurfaced and I believe we will have a lot of fun racing there again!”

“I really want to race in Silverstone, it is a track that I like very much and in which I made, in my opinion, the best race of my life in 2014. I hope that the weather is on our side although in England it is known that it is difficult to make a forecast. We had a couple of consistent races in which we have been close to score points but for one reason or another we got none. ”

The Reale Avintia Arizona 77 rider, Stefano Nepa, has been close to get inside the points in the last races but certain reasons didn’t allowed the Italian to score any points since he joined the team in Assen. However, the gap with the Top15 is getting smaller and the goal of the points is more realistic than ever.

“Silverstone is a very technical and difficult track. This year they have resurfaced the entire circuit so we hope it is better and there are no bumps, but the most important thing is to have good weather. I’ve recharged batteries and I can’t wait to be back on track. The goal is to finish the race and get some points as we have been close in the last races, we still have to improve a bit so I am sure we will do it!”
