The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders face this weekend in Motegi (Japan) the first out of three races of the overseas before heading to Australia and Malaysia before the season comes to an end in Valencia by November time.

Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham arrive in Japan eager to forget the poor balance they got back in Thailand where they could not go any further tan 17th and 19th respectively.

“We are in Motegi, a track that I like. The Ducati should suit it so hopefully we can take benefit from it as I get here excited, happy and really looking forward to start.”

“This is a track that I really like, here I got my first podium in Moto2 so I have good memories here. It’s a shame that it seems like we won’t have great weather this weekend though.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team encaran este fin de semana en Motegi (Japón) la primera de las tres carreras que conformarán a gira asiática que completarán las carreras de Australia y Malasia antes de poner punto y final a la temporada en Valencia el próximo 17 de noviembre.
Tito Rabat y Karel Abraham llegan a Japón con ganas de resarcirse del pobre balance que sacaron en el anterior GP de Tailandia donde no pudieron superar la 17ª y 19ª posición respectivamente.

“Estamos en Motegi, un circuito que me gusta. La Ducati aquí, a priori, debería ir bien así ojalá podamos sacar provecho de ello porque llego ilusionado, contento y con muchas ganas.”

“Este es un circuito que me gusta, aquí conseguí mi primer podio de Moto2 y guardo muy buenos recuerdos. Desafortunadamente, se espera mala meteorología.”

The Thai GP is done and dusted for the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders that suffered more than expected in the challenging Asian race and didn’t manage to get in points positions.

On one hand, Tito Rabat suffered with the set up of the bike, he arrived a few seconds from the top15 and couldn’t go any further than 17th. On the other hand, Karel Abraham suffered with the heat and humidity of Buriram and had his own fight with Jorge Lorenzo but with no final reward. The next race will be hold in Japan in two weeks time.

“It was a difficult weekend. We suffered to find a good setup for the bike and the hard conditions of the race track did not help. We will try to do better in Japan.”

“It was a very difficult weekend as we expected. I’ve been riding in a group with Lorenzo and Shyarin, like 10 seconds behind Tito. Unfortunately, there wasn’t many crashes and that di not help us. I was with Lorenzo for most of the race until I had a problem with the bike, I had to release the throttle and then he went away and I was not able to catch him again even if I was recovering. I finished 19th but is has been a hard one, with a lot of heat and I ended with no energy.”

El GP de Tailandia ya es historia para los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team que han sufrido más de lo esperado en la desafiante cita asiática y no han conseguido entrar en posiciones de puntos.

Por una parte, Tito Rabat ha sufrido con la configuración de la moto, se ha quedado a pocos segundos de las posiciones de puntos y solo ha podido ser 17º. Por otra parte, Karel Abraham ha sufrido con el calor y la humedad en Buriram y ha mantenido su particular batalla con Jorge Lorenzo aunque sin recompensa final. La próxima cita será dentro de dos semanas con motivo del GP de Japón.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado. Hemos sufrido para encontrar una buena puesta a punto para la moto y las duras condiciones de este circuito no me han ayudado. Intentaremos hacerlo mejor en Japón en dos semanas.”

“Ha sido una carrera muy difícil, tal y como esperábamos. He estado rodando en un grupo con Lorenzo y Shyarin, unos 10 segundos por detrás de Tito Rabat. Por desgracia, tampoco ha habido muchos abandonos de otros pilotos, lo cual nos ha perjudicado. He estado casi todo el tiempo con Lorenzo hasta que he tenido un problema de vibraciones con la moto y he tenido que cortar gas y se me ha escapado y, aunque he ido recuperando, no he sido capaz de volver a alcanzarle. He acabado 19 pero es que ha sido una carrera muy difícil, con mucho calor y he acabado muy fatigado.”

The motorcycling championship will hold the 15th round of the calendar this weekend in the Chang International Circuit (Thailand), the first out of four races that will be held during this year’s overseas races.

This will be the second time that MotoGP visits the Chang racetrack after its debut last year. The track has a length of 4.554km, 12 turns (5 to left and 7 to the right) and two long straights. It is placed 400km away from the capital of the country, Bangkok, really close to Buriram city.

The Moto3 race is set to 22 laps (100.2km) under high temperatures and humidity. The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders arrive motivated and excited to be back on the Thai track. Tito Rabat, on the one hand, has the aim to be back on the points, as he did in the last few races. Karel Abraham, on the other hand, has already been training regularly after his injury and his illness so he arrives in good shape in a circuit he likes.

“I’m really excited to get the Thai GP started. It is a very fast track, full of long straights for Moto3, so the slipstream will be very important here. I’m really excited to start and I can’t wait to start working.”

“The Buriram circuit is very beautiful, I had the chance to race here there first time that MotoGP arrived in this place last year. As usually, we’ll try our best.”

El Mundial de Motociclismo disputará este fin de semana la 15ª prueba del campeonato en el Circuito Internacional de Chang (Tailandia), la primera de las cuatro carreras que conformarán la gira asiática de este 2019.

Esta será la segunda ocasión que MotoGP visite el trazado de Chang después de su debut en la competición el año pasado. El circuito tiene una longitud total de 4.554km, con un total de 12 curvas (5 a la izquierda y 7 a la derecha) y dos larguísimas rectas. Se encuentra situado a algo más de 400km de la capital del país, Bangkok, muy cerca de la ciudad de Buriram.

La carrera de MotoGP se disputará a un total de 26 giros (128 km) bajo condiciones de altas temperaturas y un elevado nivel de humedad. Los pilotos del Reale Avinia Racing Team llegan motivados y deseosos de salir a la pista tailandesa. Tito Rabat, por su parte, tiene como objetivo volver a entrar en los puntos como ya viene haciendo en las últimas carreras. Por otra parte, Karel Abraham, que ya ha comenzado a entrenar con normalidad después de su lesión y haber estado enfermo, llega en buen estado de forma a un circuito que le gusta.

“Tengo muchas ganas de que dé comienzo el GP de Tailandia. El diseño del circuito de Chang me gusta mucho, es muy bonito, rápido y me recuerda al de Argentina. Lo único malo suele ser siempre el calor y la humedad ya que en Tailandia suelen ser dos factores a tener en cuenta. Veremos qué meteorología nos encontramos a lo largo del fin de semana.”

“El Circuito de Buriram es muy bonito, tuve la oportunidad de competir en el primer Gran Premio que acogió este circuito el año pasado. Como de costumbre, intentaremos hacerlo lo mejor posible.”

The Reale Avintia Racing Team leaves the Motorland Aragón circuit after a learning weekend and satisfied with their own races.

On the one hand, Tito Rabat managed to recover a couple of positions (17th to 15th) and he got another point for the world standing despite the problems he had to face during the race.

On the other hand, Karel Abraham couldn’t score points but he believes he has done “a really good race” where he could fight with other riders and, even if he was not at 100% physically, he could fight with them until the end.

Next race will be held in Buriram (Thailand) from October the 4th to 6th where the 15th round of the season will be done.

“It was a similar race to Misano’s where we could defend, we gave our best and we leave strong for the following ones. Unfortunately, there’s always a problem, rather we have a mechanical problem and he start last or I touch somebody and go last and then I have to recover… Luckily I wasn’t last today. We need to learn how to manage the first part of the races because we have not much to win but a lot to lose so managing the first 3 or 4 laps of the race, with the help of electronics to have more grip at the beginning we should do a big step and be where we belong.”

“I think it has been a really good race even if we finished 18th and we did not get points. It is a shame but I think in this race has been very good because have been fighting, overtaking riders all the time and we had a good pace because the difference between the fastest and slowest laps where within a second, which is really positive. Obviously I am not happy that other riders did not crash but this is not usual and we could have been further. If we had done this race in Misano, we could have get some point for sure. I need to inspire, the last month I haven’t been able to train as I was injured and ill but now I must go back to my routine and work out to be stronger in Thailand.”

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team se marcha del circuito de Motorland Aragón tras un fin de semana de mucho aprendizaje y satisfechos con sus respectivas carreras.

Por una parte, Tito Rabat ha sido capaz de remontar un par de posiciones (de 17º a 15º) para conseguir un nuevo punto para su casillero a pesar de los inconvenientes que se ha ido encontrando y a los que ha tenido que ir haciendo frente a lo largo de la carrera.

Por otra parte, Karel Abraham no ha conseguido llegar a los puntos pero asegura haber hecho una “muy buena carrera” en la que ha podido luchar contra otros pilotos y, a pesar de no estar al 100% físicamente, ha podido plantarles cara hasta el final de carrera.

La siguiente carrera se celebrará en el circuito de Buriram (Tailandia) del 4 a 6 de octubre donde se celebrará la 15ª prueba del mundial de Moto3.

“Ha sido una carrera como la de Misano en la que nos hemos defendido, hemos dado el do de pecho y salimos de aquí fuertes para la siguiente. Por desgracia siempre tiene que pasar algo, o tenemos un fallo mecánico y salimos últimos o me toco con alguien y me quedo último y luego tengo que remontar… Por suerte no he acabado la carrera último. Hay que saber gestionar las primeras partes de carreras porque tenemos mucho a ganar y mucho a perder, así que gestionando las primeras tres o cuatro primeras vueltas de carrera, ayudándome electrónicamente para tener más tracción al principio deberíamos pegar un salto y estar donde nos toca desde principio de carrera.”


“Creo que ha sido una muy buena carrera aunque hayamos acabado 18º y no hayamos conseguido puntos. Es una pena pero creo que está carrera ha estado muy bien porque hemos estado luchado, adelantando a pilotos a menudo y hemos tenido un ritmo muy bueno porque la diferencia de tiempos de vuelta durante la carrera está dentro del segundo de la primera a la última, lo cual es muy bueno. Evidentemente no me alegro de que no se hayan caído muchos pilotos pero si hubiese pasado, que es lo habitual, habríamos podido estar más adelante. Si hubiésemos hecho esta carrera en Misano habríamos conseguido puntuar seguro. Necesito volver a inspirarme, el último mes no he estado entrenando porque he estado enfermo así que ahora debo volver a mi rutina habitual para estar más fuertes en Tailandia.”

The first day of the Aragon GP is already done and dusted after the FP1 and FP2 earlier today. In the combined free practice times is Marc Márquez (1:46.071) in first position with Maverick Viñales second (1:46.071) more than 1.3 away from the leader and Valentino Rossi was third (1:48.071)

The Reale Avintia Racing Team riders worked on the set up of their bikes before a QP that is expected to be on wet conditions and that’s something that both Tito Rabat and Karel Abraham are worried about. Rabat, who is racing in another home GP, hasn’t managed to go to Q2 straightaway since he finished 16th in the combined times. Karel Abraham, on the other hand, is still recovering after being ill and he finished 22nd today.

“We could not step directly for QP but we have a good race pace. If it does not rain tomorrow maybe we can try once again in FP3 and if not, we will be through Q1 and face the rain. If it finally rains it will be a pity because is not the best situation for us”

“I enjoyed today in a circuit that I do really like even if it was not easy because I don’t feel at my 100% but I’m better. We hope it improves tomorrow but it’s going to rain and I’m or excited about it”

El primer día del GP de Aragón 2019 ya es historia tras la celebración de los dos primeros entrenamientos libres. En la combinada de los mismos encontramos a Marc Márquez (1:46.869) en primera posición, a Maverick Viñales (1:46.071) segundo a más de 1.3 segundos y tercero ha sido Valentino Rossi (1:48.071).

Los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team han trabajado en la puesta a punto de la moto antes de una clasificación que, según las previsiones meteorológicas, será pasada por agua, algo que ni Tito Rabat ni Karel Abraham desean. Rabat, que disputa este fin de semana un nuevo Gran Premio de casa, no ha conseguido por el momento el pase directo a la Q2 al acabar 16º en la combinada. Karel Abraham, por su parte, sigue en recuperación tras haber estado enfermo y hoy ha finalizado 22º.

“No hemos conseguido clasificarnos directos de momento pero de ritmo estamos bastante bien. Si mañana no llueve podremos volver a intentarlo en el FP3 y si no pues habrá que pasar por Q1 y enfrentarnos a la lluvia. Si finalmente llueve puede ser un fastidio porque no es la mejor situación para nosotros.”

“Me gusta el circuito de Aragón y he disfrutado hoy aunque no ha sido fácil porque no me siento 100% pero estoy mejor. Esperemos que vaya mejor mañana pero dan lluvia y eso no me gusta.”
