With no rest between Misano and Aragon, the Reale Avintia Racing Team is facing a new challenge as the Aragon GP will be held this weekend just seven days after the last race. It is one of the most important weekends during the season as it’s one of team’s home races and it means an extra motivation for the weekend.

Last time out, Tito Rabat managed to collect 3 points as he finished 13th on Sunday’s race in a difficult race with a low grip tarmac. Karel Abraham, on the other hand, struggled all weekend long because of his illness but he managed to finish 17th and, despite the short distance between races, he is optimistic about his physical conditions as he expects to improve for the GP.

Besides, this will be the last weekend before the MotoGP paddock flies away for the 4 overseas races before the last race in Valencia by November time.

“We are in Aragon which is a home race for me and for the team and I can’t wait to put my leather suits on and ride again in Motorland. The goal is getting a good result here to keep the good performance we proved in the last races.”

“We’ll see because we have back to back races from Misano last weekend. Misano was very difficult for me because I was so sick. I haven’t finish my medications yet, it looks like I’m not sick anymore but there’s something I call collateral damage, I had some negative reactions to some medications that I was taking so this is big disadvantage for me. I hope it improves before the race, otherwise it could create some problems. From Silverstone I haven’t trained at all as I was injuried, then sick so it’s been almost a month without training and in this sport is very hard going out there with no preparation at all. This is the last European race before the overseas and I’m really looking forward to race hear since this is a track that I really like. It seems like it is going to rain on Saturday, I hope it doesn’t”.

Sin descanso entre Misano y Aragón, el Reale Avintia Racing Team encara un nuvo desafío con la llegada del GP de Aragón que se celebrará este fin de semana solo siete días después de la última carrera. Esta es una de las carreras más importantes ya que es uno de los Grandes Premios de casa para el equipo y eso supone un extra de motivación para el fin de semana.

En Misano, Tito Rabat consiguió 3 puntos al acabar 13º en la carrera del domingo en un circuito que presentaba muy poco grip. Karel Abraham, enfermo durante el GP, sufrió durante todo el fin de semana pero logró acabar 17º y, a pesar del corto espacio de tiempo entre carreras, el checo se muestra optimista y espera mejor su condición física.

Por otro lado, este será el último fin de semana de carreras antes de que el paddock de MotoGP vuele a la gira asiática antes de volver a Europa para celebrar la última carrera en Valencia.

“Estamos en Aragón, carrera de casa para el equipo y para mi, estoy desenado volver a ponerme el mono para correr en Motorland. El objetivo es conseguir un buen resultado aquí para seguir con las buenas sensaciones de las últimas carreras.”

“Veremos cómo me encuentro al enlazar dos carreras seguidas. Misano fue una carrera muy dura, no tenía energía. Aún no he dejado de tomar los medicamentos, pero creo que ya me encuentro mejor aunque ahora hay daños colaterales ya que he tenido algunas reacciones negativas a algunos de los antibióticos que he estado tomando. Tengo ganas de correr aquí, es una pista que me gusta. Espero que no se cumpla la previsión de lluvia para el sábado porque eso no nos beneficiaría.”

Reale Avintia Racing Team ends in a positive way the 13th race of the 2019 MotoGP season held this weekend in the San Marino GP.

During Saturday’s qualifying session, Tito Rabat suffered a mechanical failure in his Ducati and he had to start from 22nd. However, in Sunday’s race he proved his competitive pace and he did a great comeback until a phenomenal 13th position in order to get 3 more points under the belt.

Karel Abraham, who has been sick for the last few days, qualified 21st on Saturday, a position he improved on race time as he performed a comeback to 17th, a meritorious position specially considering that the Czech man didn’t arrive in Misano 100% fit.

The Motorland Aragon Race track in Alcañiz will held next weekend the 14th race of the season right before the MotoGP paddock heads to Thailand where the overseas races will kick off with 4 races in 5 weekends.

“It was a hard weekend as we started last after the issue we had in qualifying. I managed to do a great start, recovering positions and I could do a decent race and achieving 3 points, which makes me feel happy. It’s true that we got in Top 15 but I believe we still need to do a step forward”.

“It was a very hard race since I’ve been feeling sick for the last days and, even if I had antibiotics, I didn’t get much better really. After a few laps, I just could not follow the group, I felt like I had no strength at all. Unfortunately, we have another race next week and I won’t have much time to recover, but I’ll try to get there as fit as possible.”

El Reale Avintia Racing Team concluye la decimotercera carrera de la temporada celebrada este fin de semana con motivo del GP de San Marino.

Durante la sesión de clasificación del sábado, Tito Rabat sufrió una avería en su Ducati y solo pudo ser 22º. Sin embargo, en la carrera del domingo volvió a mostrar su ritmo y pudo remontar hasta una fenomenal 13ª posición para anotarse así otros 3 puntos en su casillero.

Por su parte, Karel Abraham, que ha estado enfermo durante lo últimos días, clasificó 21º el sábado, posición que pudo mejorar en carrera remontando hasta ser 17º, una meritoria actuación teniendo en cuenta que el checo no llegaba a la prueba al 100% físicamente.

El circuito de Motorland Aragón en Alcañiz acogerá el próximo fin de semana la decimocuarta prueba de la temporada 2019 justo antes de que el mundial viaje hasta Tailandia, donde dará comienzo la gira asiática que comprenderá 4 carreras en 5 fines de semana.

“Ha sido un fin de semana complicado después de salir últimos tras el problema mecánico que tuvimos en clasificación. He podido hacer una buena salida, remontando y he podido hacer una carrera decente consiguiendo 3 puntos, algo que me alegra mucho. Si bien es cierto que hemos puntuado, creo que aún necesitamos dar un pasito hacia adelante”.

“Ha sido una carrera muy dura porque he estado enfermo estos últimos días y, a pesar de haber tomado medicamentos, mi situación física no ha mejorado. Tras pocas vueltas no podía seguir al grupo porque no tenía fuerza alguna. Por desgracia, tenemos otra carrera la semana que viene y no tendré demasiado tiempo para recuperarme, pero intentaré llegar lo mejor posible”.

MotoGP  is back after a three-week break since the Silverstone race on August 25th. Just after that race, MotoGP teams had a private test in the Circuit of Misano in order to prepare this weekend’s GP. In that test, Tito Rabat finished 12th and Karel Abraham, who wa injuried in England, could only ride the first day and came out in 23th place. However, both drivers are optimistic about the Italian event.

“I’m looking forward to race in Misano. Unfortunately, I’m taking antibiotics now. It’s unbelievable, I made the last race injured and now this. I hope to be fit to race at my 100%.”

“We did two days of testing in Misano just after the Silverstone GP and they were positive actually because, among other things, we had a good race pace so I really want to kick off the weekend.”

El Mundial de MotoGP regresa después de tres semanas de parón desde la carrera de Silverstone el pasado 25 de agosto. Justo después de dicha prueba, los equipos de la categoría reina disputaron un test privado en el Circuito de Misano con el objetivo de preparar el GP de este fin de semana. En él, Tito Rabat acabó 12º y Karel Abraham, que arrastraba una lesión producida en Inglaterra, solo pudo rodar el primer día y consiguió el 23º mejor tiempo. Sin embargo, ambos pilotos se muestran optimistas de cara a la cita italiana.

“Estoy deseando correr en Misano. Lamentablemente, estoy tomando antibióticos ahora. Es increíble, la última carrera la hice lesionado y ahora esto. Espero ser lo suficientemente fuerte como para competir al 100%”.

“Hicimos dos días de test en Misano justo después del GP de Silverstone y la verdad es que fueron positivos porque, entre otras cosas, tuvimos un buen ritmo así que tengo muchas ganas de comenzar el fin de semana”.

The Silverstone race was a positive one for Reale Avintia Racing Team riders. On the one hand, Tito Rabat, who was back in the circuit where he suffered a serious injury in his right leg last year, started 16th on the grid and was riding in points positions during some laps, but unfortunately he suffered a crash when fighting to overtake other riders. Karel Abraham, meanwhile, achieved another point by entering 15th after a complicated Saturday in which he qualified last after suffering a crash and some technical problems.

The next race will be held at the Misano Circuit in three weeks on September 13th, 14th and 15th.

“On Saturday we thought they wouldn’t let me race after the crash but they finally gave me the fit. During the race I had pain in the muscles of my hands, which were injuried by the crashed of Friday. I was close to retiring from the race but I thought about staying in case someone crashed and we could get some point and it eventually happened. After crashing, Tito was recovering little by little and I was afraid to make too much effort because I was close to pass out, but in the end I could get into the points ahead of him. I hope to be physically recovered for the Misano test on Thursday.”

“The crash has been a shame because we did a great QP, a great warm-up and I was fighting with the group of Zarco, Petrucci and Espargaró but I made a mistake by forcing too much, I ran wide and when I was trying to pass to Guintoli my front wheel locked. It was very hot and the grip of the wheels changed a lot. I want to apologize to the team because we were doing a great job but I made a mistake. ”

El circuito de Silverstone deja a los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team con un buen sabor de boca. Por una parte, Tito Rabat, que regresaba al circuito donde el año pasado sufrió una seria lesión en su pierna derecha, salía desde la 16ª posición en parrilla y estuvo rodando en posiciones de puntos durante algunas vueltas, pero desafortunadamente sufrió una caída cuando peleaba por avanzar posiciones. Karel Abraham, por su parte, logró otro punto al entrar 15º después de un sábado complicado en el que clasificó último tras sufrir una caída y algunos problemas técnicos.
La próxima carrera se disputará en el Circuito de Misano dentro de tres semanas los días 13, 14 y 15 de septiembre.

“El sábado creíamos que no me dejarían correr la carrera después de la caída pero finalmente me dieron el alta. Durante la carrera tenía dolores en los músculos de las manos, que estaban tocados de la caída del viernes. Estuve cerca de retirarme de la carrera pero pensé en quedarme por si alguien se caía y podíamos conseguir algún punto y así fue. Después de caer, Tito me ha ido recuperando segundos poco a poco y tenía miedo de hacer demasiado esfuerzo porque estaba cerca de desmayarme, pero al final pude entrar en los puntos por delante de él. Espero estar recuperado físicamente de cara al test de Misano del jueves.”

“La caída ha sido una lástima porque hicimos una gran QP, un gran warm-up y estaba luchando con el grupo de Zarco, Petrucci y Espargaró pero he cometido un error por forzar demasiado, me he ido largo y, al intentar pasar a Guintoli, se me ha cerrado el tren delantero. Hacía mucho calor y el grip de las ruedas cambió mucho. Quiero pedir disculpas al equipo porque lo estábamos haciendo bien pero ha sido un error por mi parte.”

The MotoGP World Championship lands this week on the legendary Silverstone circuit (England) on the occasion of the twelfth race of the season. It is the longest track of the entire championship with a length of 5,900m, it has 10 turns to the right and 8 to the left. After the drainage problems that suffered last year that didn’t allowed to dispute the race, the racetrack has been resurfaced this season’s GP.

Regarding the the Reale Avintia Racing Team riders, Tito Rabat is back in the circuit in which he suffered in 2018 the worst injury of his career in his right leg that is still in recovery process. However, the performance shown in the previous races makes the rider from Barcelona be optimistic about this weekend. On the other hand, Karel Abraham arrives at Silverstone motivated after finishing in Top15 in Austria two weeks ago where he achieved a well deserved point.

“Silvestone is one of the racetracks that should fit me quite well. It has mostly fast corners and the track is quite wide. I am looking forward coming back there and Racing. Hopefully it will not rain. We were very unlucky last year as the rain and the asphalt situation did not let us race, but since then the track has been resurfaced and I believe we will have a lot of fun racing there again!”

“I really want to race in Silverstone, it is a track that I like very much and in which I made, in my opinion, the best race of my life in 2014. I hope that the weather is on our side although in England it is known that it is difficult to make a forecast. We had a couple of consistent races in which we have been close to score points but for one reason or another we got none. ”

El mundial de MotoGP aterriza esta semana en el mítico circuito de Silverstone (Inglaterra) con motivo de la duodécima prueba del campeonato. Se trata del trazado más largo de todo el campeonato con una longitud de 5.900m, cuenta con 10 curvas a la derecha y 8 a la izquierda. Después de los problemas de drenaje que sufrió el año pasado que impidieron la disputa de las carreras, se optó por reasfaltar nuevamente todo el trazado de cara al Gran Premio de esta temporada.

Por lo que respecta a los pilotos del Reale Avintia Racing Team, Tito Rabat vuelve al circuito en el que sufrió en 2018 la lesión más grave de su carrera deportiva que a punto estuvo de costarle una pierna derecha que a día de hoy sigue maltrecha y en proceso de recuperación. No obstante, el rendimiento mostrado en las carreras previas hacen que el de Barcelona se muestre optimista de cara a este fin de semana. Por otro lado, Karel Abraham llega a Silverstone motivado después de entrar en los puntos en la última carrera celebrada hace dos semanas en Austria.


“Silvestone es una de pista a la que debería adapatarme bastante bien. Tiene curvas rápidas y la pista es bastante ancha. Estoy deseando volver allí y competir. Ojalá no llueva porque el año pasado tuvimos mucha mala suerte porque, al no drenar el asfalto, no pudimos correr, pero desde entonces la pista se ha reasfaltado y creo que nos divertiremos mucho de nuevo”.


“Tengo muchas ganas de llegar a Silverstone, es una pista que me gusta mucho y en la que hice, en mi opinión, la mejor carrera de mi vida en 2014. Espero que la meteorología esté de nuestra parte aunque en Inglaterra ya se sabe que es difícil hacer una previsión. Llevamos un par de carreras consistentes en las que hemos estado cerca de entrar en los puntos pero por un motivo u otro al final se nos han escapado.”
