L’equip Reale Avintia Racing ja està camí d’Alcañiz per disputar el Gran Premi d’Aragó aquest cap de setmana. El espectacular circuit de MotorLand Aragón serà el escenari de la prova del XIV Campionat del Món de MotoGP.

Els pilots de Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá i Loris Baz, viatgen a Alcañiz amb moltes ganes i disposats a oblidar el passat Gran Premi de San Marino, on tots dos es van quedar sense opcions després de caure en la carrera, però a Aragó esperen treballar dur des del moment primer dia per aconseguir un bon resultat a casa de l’equip el diumenge.
Inaugurat el 2009, MotorLand Aragón acull el seu primer GP un any més tard i, des de llavors, és una de les cites habituals del calendari. El seu traçat de 5.344 metres va ser dissenyat per l’alemany Hermann Tilke i és un dels més tècnics del calendari, encara que també és un dels preferits dels pilots.

El Gran Premi d’Aragó serà la darrera cita a Europa abans que el campionat s’embarqui en el seu tradicional triplet en què passarà per Japó, Austràlia i Malàisia, abans de tornar a València per finalitzar la temporada.

“El circuit d’Aragó és especial, és diferent del resto de circuits que els que anem a Espanya i el traçat és bastant tècnic, però va bé per a la Ducati. Serà la tercera carrera a casa i com sempre serà bonic correr davant la nostra afició. En Misano no van tenir sort en la carrera i no vam poder acabar per una caiguda, però nosaltres seguirem donant el màxim des del divendres per aconseguir un bon resultat. Serà important fer-ho per començar a fer més força la gira asiàtica “.

“En Misano ho vaig intentar tot i no vaig voler conformar-me amb acabar cinquè o sisè, perquè amb el ritme que tenia a l’escalfament es va voler provar tot i no va poder ser. A veure com va a Aragó on l’objectiu serà una vegada més entrar el dissabte a la Q2 i lluitar el diumenge per estar entre els deu primers o, si més no, en els punts. Si seguim treballant tan bé com en cada carrera, crec que és quelcom molt factible. No sembla que vagin a ploure, així que haurem de utilitzar be el cap per assegurar un bon resultat “.

The Reale Avintia Racing Team is on the way to Alcañiz for the Aragon Grand Prix this weekend. The spectacular MotorLand Aragon circuit will be the venue of the fourteenth round of the MotoGP World Championship.

Both Reale Avintia Racing riders, Hector Barbera and Loris Baz, head to Alcañiz with great expectations and determined to forget the last Grand Prix of San Marino, where both were left without options after crashing out of the race. Now in Aragon, they will work hard from the first day to get a good result on Sunday.

“Aragon is a special circuit. It’s different from the rest of the Spanish Grand Prix tracks and the layout is quite technical, but it suits the Ducati well. It is the third race at home and it’s always nice to race in front of our fans. In Misano, we had no luck in the race, we crashed and we couldn’t finish, but we will continue giving the maximum from Friday to get a good result this weekend. This would be important because it would give us a much-needed boost ahead of the triple in Japan, Australia and Malaysia.”

“In Misano I tried everything. I didn’t want to settle for finishing fifth or sixth, because the pace I had in the warm-up Iwould have been strong enough for a top result, but it was not meant to be. We’ll see how things go in Aragon, where the target for the race weekend is the same as usual: To try to get into Q2 on Saturday and fight for the top ten on Sunday or at least to score some points. If we continue to working in the same way, I think it is very feasible. It does not seem like it’s going to rain, so we’ll have to use our heads to ensure a good result.”

El equipo Reale Avintia Racing ya está camino de Alcañiz para disputar el Gran Premio de Aragón este fin de semana. El espectacular circuito de MotorLand Aragón será el escenario de la decimocuarta prueba del Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP.

Los pilotos de Reale Avintia Racing, Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz, viajan a Alcañiz con muchas ganas y dispuestos a olvidar el pasado Gran Premio de San Marino donde ambos se quedaron sin opciones tras caer en la carrera, pero en Aragón esperan trabajar duro desde el primer día para conseguir un buen resultado en casa del equipo el domingo.

Inaugurado en 2009, MotorLand Aragón acogió su primer GP un año más tarde y, desde entonces, es una de las citas habituales del calendario. Su trazado de 5.344 metros fue diseñado por el alemán Hermann Tilke y es uno de los más técnicos del calendario, aunque también uno de los preferidos de los pilotos.

El Gran Premio de Aragón será la última cita en suelo europeo antes de que el campeonato se embarque en su tradicional triplete en el que pasará por Japón, Australia y Malasia, antes de regresar a Valencia para finalizar la temporada.

“El circuito de Aragón es especial, es diferente al resto de circuitos a los que vamos en España y el trazado es bastante técnico, pero va bien para la Ducati. Será la tercera carrera en casa y como siempre será bonito correr delante de nuestra afición. En Misano no tuvimos suerte en la carrera y no pudimos terminar por una caída, pero nosotros seguiremos dando el máximo desde el viernes para conseguir un buen resultado. Sería importante hacerlo para comenzar más fuertes la gira asiática”.

“En Misano lo intenté todo y no quería conformarme con terminar quinto o sexto, porque con del ritmo que tenía en el warm-up quería probarlo todo y no pudo ser. A ver cómo va en Aragón donde el objetivo será una vez más entrar el sábado en la Q2 y luchar el domingo por estar entre los diez primeros o al menos en los puntos. Si seguimos trabajando tan bien como en cada carrera creo que es algo muy factible. No parece que vaya a llover, así que tendremos que usar bien la cabeza para asegurar un buen resultado”.

Quan el dia ha començat amb pluja i després de la gran demostració de Loris Baz en el warm-up del matí, les expectatives de fer una bona carrera eren molt altes per a l’equip Reale Avintia Racing en el Gran Premi de San Marino. Héctor Barberá havia acabat més enrere en la sessió matinal de 20 minuts en mullat, però les seves sensacions havien estat molt bones i tenia confiança en poder lluitar pel top deu.
La sortida des de la cinquena línia de la graella ha estat molt bona i els dos pilots han guanyat posicions amb Barberá onzè i Baz 13è en el primer pas per meta. Després el francès ha passat a l’atac i ha seguit remuntant per arribar a rodar cinquè, però en la seva lluita amb Jack Miller i quan ja tenien a l’abast a Maverick Viñales, ha perdut la roda davantera frenant i s’ha anat a terra en la desena volta . Baz s’ha aixecat i ha seguit lluitant fins al final per sumar algun punt. A poc a poc ho ha anat aconseguint, però amb l’amortidor de direcció partit i forçant per arribar fins Álvaro Bautista, s’ha tornat a caure. De nou s’aixecat i finalment ha creuat la meta el16o.

Héctor Barberá tampoc ha tingut sort avui a Misano. El pilot espanyol ha arribat a col·locar-se setè i tenia opcions de lluitar amb Pirro, Miller i Viñales per la quarta posició. Però en la volta 12 ha patit una caiguda i no ha pogut continuar.

El Campionat del Món de MotoGP tornarà a dues setmanes a Espanya amb motiu del Gran Premi d’Aragó, on els pilots de l’equip Reale Avintia Racing esperen aconseguir un bon resultat.

“Des de la primera volta he vist que no tenia el mateix feeling amb la roda del darrere que al matí. Però la roda del davant em donava molta confiança i he tirat fort per remuntar posicions. Hi ha carreres de cap i de cor, i aquesta era una carrera per arriscar. Ho he posat tot per intentar el més amunt possible i cada vegada veia el grup de cap més a prop. Anava amb Jack (Miller) que tenia bon ritme i volia arribar fins Maverick, però en una frenada s’ha tancat la direcció i no he pogut evitar la caiguda. Després quan he tornat a sortir i e tornat a agafar ritme i veia possible sumar algun punt, però de nou m’ha caigut quan tenia molt a prop d’Álvaro (Bautista). Ara cal passar pàgina i pensar en Aragó on farem la cursa amb el cap”.

“Ha estat una llàstima la caiguda perquè avui podríem haver aconseguit un bon resultat. Però cal quedar-se amb la part positiva del cap de setmana i això ha estat que sortíem una mica millor del que és habitual i en la carrera estàvem davant. Les condicions eren molt complicades i havia de intentar-ho. Estava veient cada vegada més a prop de Viñales i Miller, potser he forçat més del compte i he caigut. He sortit volant i el millor de tot és que no m’he fet mal i que la propera cursa és a Aragó.”

The forecast was right and today heavy rain hit the Misano circuit. After the strong performance showed by Loris Baz during the warm-up session, the expectations of Reale Avintia Racing for the Grand Prix of San Marino were high. Hector Barbera was not as fast as Baz during the 20 minutes-session in the morning, but nevertheless his feeling in wet conditions was quite good and he was confident to fight for a top ten result in the race.

Both riders had a great start and passed some rivals, with Barbera 11^th and Baz 13^th after the first lap. But then it was the Frenchman who mounted his attack and moved up to fifth place in only a few laps, fighting with Jack Miller. When they caught Maverick Viñales, Baz lost the front and crashed on lap ten. He returned to the track and kept fighting to score some points. Lap by lap, he closed the gap with Bautista, but pushing too much with a broken steering damper from the first crash caused him to crash again. He didn’t give up,but bravely continued a second time and finished the race in 16^th place.

The Misano race ended also unlucky for Hector Barbera. The Spaniard was in seventh place, fighting with Pirro, Miller and Viñales for fourth position. But on lap 12 he suffered a big crash and his race was finished.

The MotoGP World Championship will resume in two weeks time on Spanish soil at the Aragon Grand Prix, where the Reale Avintia Racing riders hope to get a good result.

“From the first lap I realized that the feeling with the rear was not the same as this morning. But on the other hand, I had a lot of confidence with the front, so I pushed hard to gain some places. There are races that you do with your head and there are races that you do with your heart, and this one was a race to take risks. I did my best get closer to the front and every lap I could see how I was catching up with the front group. I was with Jack (Miller) who had a good pace and I wanted to catch Maverick (Viñales), but when I hit the brakes I lost the front and crashed. “The crash was a pity because today we had a big chance to get a good result. But all in all, the weekend has been positive, because we started the race better than usual and after some laps we were close to the front. The conditions were tricky but we had to try. I was closing the gap with Viñales and Miller, maybe I pushed too much and I crashed. I was highsided from my bike and I was lucky to escape with no injuries. Now we have to focus on the next race in Aragon.”

Cuando el día ha amanecido con lluvia y tras la gran demostración de Loris Baz en el warm-up de la mañana, las expectativas de hacer una buena carrera eran muy altas para el equipo Reale Avintia Racing en el Gran Premio de San Marino. Héctor Barberá había terminado más atrás en la sesión matinal de 20 minutos en mojado, pero sus sensaciones habían sido muy buenas y tenía confianza en poder luchar por el top diez.

La salida desde la quinta línea de la parrilla ha sido muy buena y los dos pilotos han ganado posiciones con Barberá undécimo y Baz 13º en el primer paso por meta. Después el francés ha pasado al ataque y ha seguido remontando para llegar a rodar quinto, pero en su lucha con Jack Miller y cuando ya tenían a tiro a Maverick Viñales, ha perdido la rueda delantera frenando y se ha ido al suelo en la décima vuelta. Baz se ha levantado y ha seguido luchando hasta el final para sumar algún punto. Poco a poco lo ha ido consiguiendo, pero con el amortiguador de dirección partido y forzando para llegar hasta Álvaro Bautista, se ha vuelto a caer. De nuevo se la levantado y finalmente ha cruzado la meta 16º.

Héctor Barberá tampoco ha tenido suerte hoy en Misano. El piloto español ha llegado a colocarse séptimo y tenía opciones de luchar con Pirro, Miller y Viñales por la cuarta posición. Pero en la vuelta doce ha sufrido una caída y no ha podido continuar.

El Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP volverá en dos semanas a España con motivo del Gran Premio de Aragón, donde los pilotos del equipo Reale Avintia Racing esperan conseguir un buen resultado.

“Desde la primera vuelta he visto que no tenía el mismo feeling con la rueda trasera que por la mañana. Pero la rueda delantera me daba mucha confianza y he tirado fuerte para remontar posiciones. Hay carreras de cabeza y de corazón, y esta era una carrera para arriesgar. Lo he puesto todo para intentar lo más arriba posible y cada vez veía al grupo de cabeza más cerca. Iba con Jack (Miller) que tenía buen ritmo y quería llegar hasta Maverick, pero en una frenada se ha cerrado la dirección y no he podido evitar la caída. Después cuando he vuelto a salir, he vuelto a coger ritmo y veía posible sumar algún punto, pero de nuevo me ha caído cuando tenía muy cerca de Álvaro (Bautista). Ahora hay que pasar página y pensar en Aragón donde haremos la carrera con la cabeza”.

“Ha sido una lástima la caída porque hoy podríamos haber logrado un buen resultado. Pero hay que quedarse con lo positivo del fin de semana y esto ha sido que salíamos un poco mejor de lo habitual y en la carrera estábamos delante. Las condiciones eran muy complicadas y tenía que intentarlo. Estaba viendo cada vez más cerca de Viñales y Miller, quizás he forzado más de la cuenta y me he caído. He salido volando y lo mejor de todo es que no me he hecho daño y que la próxima carrera es en Aragón”.

Hector Barbera and Loris Baz will start tomorrow’s San Marino Grand Prix from the fifth row of the grid after finishing 13^th and 15^th in qualifying today at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

The Spaniard crashed during FP4 and went out for qualifying with his second bike. In his first attempt, he was close to make the top two and in the second exit he missed Q2 by just one tenth of a second. His Reale Avintia teammate Loris Baz finished just 0.026s from Barbera and will start the race from the same row on the grid.

The MotoGP riders enjoyed another sunny and warm day at Misano, but rain is forecasted for tomorrow’s race. If the forecast is right, Barbera and Baz expect to fight for the top ten. If it’s dry, they hope to score some championship points.

“We have been close but we missed Q2 by just one tenth to finish in ‘12+1’ place. In FP4 I crashed at a point where I was losing a little bit of time this weekend. I tried to ride this turn in another way, but I touched the kerb and crashed. But nevertheless, we are not so bad considering that we still have the same problems from the beginning of the season, which is a lot of chatter when braking into the corners. Tomorrow I hope to make a good race and if it doesn´t rain, my goal is to be in the top ten. But if it rains, we can dream of something more”.

“In Q1 I hoped to be closer to the front, but in my second time attack I didn’t find any reference and had to do the lap on my own. Overall the day has gone quite well and I think we have a good pace for the race. In the fastest turn we lose too much, because this bike was designed to go with winglets and now there is not enough weight on the front. I had some big moments at that point during the weekend and to be honest, it is scary to lose the front when you go at 300 km/h. Now we wait what the weather will be tomorrow because if it rains, we can do well”.

L’espanyol ha patit una forta caiguda durant el FP4 i ha sortit als cronometrats

amb la seva segona moto. En el seu primer atac al crono s’ha quedat a prop i en el segon només li ha faltat una dècima de segon per passar el tall a la Q2. El seu company al Reale Avintia, Loris Baz, ha acabat a només 26 mil·lèsimes de segon de Barberà i sortirà dos llocs més enrere en la mateixa línia.

Els pilots de MotoGP han gaudit d’un altre dia de sol i calor al circuit de Misano, però demà les previsions són de pluja per a la carrera. Si es compleixen, Barberá i Baz esperen poder lluitar per acabar entre els deu primers i, si finalment la carrera és en sec, l’objectiu serà sumar punts per al campionat.

“Hem estat a prop però ens ha faltat una mica per poder entrar a la Q2 i hem acabat en la posició 12 + 1. Al FP4 he patit una caiguda en un punt on porto perdent una mica aquest cap de setmana, he intentat fer la corba d’una altra manera, m’he pujat una mica al piano i he caigut. De totes maneres no hem sortir malament, segueixo arrossegant els mateixos problemes de tot l’any i quan freno entrant al revolt tinc molt ‘chattering’. Demà espero fer una bona carrera i el meu objectiu si no plou és estar entre els deu primers. I si com tot apunta plou, podrem aspirar a alguna cosa més “.

“A la Q1 esperava poder estar més amunt, però al meu segon atac no he trobat cap roda i al final ens hem quedat bastant a prop. Però en general el dia ha anat bastant bé i crec que tenim bon ritme per a la carrera. A les ràpides ens costa moltíssim perquè aquesta moto estava dissenyada per anar amb ales i en les ràpides no hi ha cap suport de la roda davantera. He salvat diverses caigudes en aquest punt i la veritat és que fa por en un lloc on vas gairebé a 300 km / h. Veurem si demà plou i fins on podem arribar “.

Héctor Barberá y Loris Baz saldrán mañana en el Gran Premio de San Marino desde la quinta línea de la parrilla después de clasificarse 13º y 15º en los entrenamientos cronometrados disputados hoy en el circuito de Misano Marco Simoncelli.

El español ha sufrido una fuerte caída durante el FP4 y ha salido a los cronometrados con su segunda moto. En su primer ataque al crono se ha quedado cerca y en el segundo solo le ha faltado una décima de segundo para pasar el corte a la Q2. Su compañero en el Reale Avintia, Loris Baz, ha terminado a solo 26 milésimas de segundo de Barberá y saldrá dos puestos más atrás en la misma línea.

Los pilotos de MotoGP han disfrutado de otro día de sol y calor en el circuito de Misano, pero mañana las previsiones son de lluvia para la carrera. Si se cumplen, Barberá y Baz esperan poder luchar por terminar entre los diez primeros y, si finalmente la carrera es en seco, el objetivo será sumar puntos para el campeonato.

“Hemos estado cerca pero nos ha faltado un poco para poder entrar en la Q2 y hemos acabado en la posición 12+1. En el FP4 he sufrido una caída en un punto donde llevo perdiendo un poquito este fin de semana, he intentado hacer la curva de otra forma, me he subido un poco al piano y me he caído. De todos modos no salimos mal, sigo arrastrando los mismos problemas de todo el año y cuando freno entrando en la curva tengo mucho ‘chattering’. Mañana espero hacer una buena carrera y mi objetivo si no llueve es estar entre los diez primeros. Y si como todo apunta llueve, podremos aspirar a algo más”.

“En la Q1 esperaba poder estar más arriba, pero en mi segundo ataque no he encontrado ninguna rueda y al final nos hemos quedado bastante cerca. Pero en general el día ha ido bastante bien y creo que tenemos buen ritmo para la carrera. En las rápidas nos cuesta muchísimo porque esta moto estaba diseñada para ir con alas y en las rápidas no hay ningún apoyo de la rueda delantera. He salvado varias caídas en ese punto y la verdad es que da miedo en un sitio donde vas casi a 300 km/h. Veremos si mañana llueve y hasta dónde podemos llegar”.

Reale Avintia Racing riders Hector Barbera and Loris Baz finished the first day of practice at Misano in 14^th and 15^th position.

The action started with some wet patches on the track after heavy rainstorms during the previous night and the first free practice session of 45 minutes finished with Barbera in 11^th place and Baz in 20^th.

In the afternoon with bright sunshine and the track in perfect condition, both riders went out to attack and improved their lap times greatly. The only flaw was that everybody else improved as well. In the end, the lap times were really close together, with the first 15 riders separated by less than a second.

Both Baz and Barbera hope to take another step tomorrow, with the aim to get in the top 10 and to secure a place in Q2, which would enable them to fight for a good grid position for Sunday’s 28-lap-race.

“In the morning it was difficult, I did not feel good with the bike and the track was not perfect. In the afternoon we improved a lot, but we still have the same problems with the bike. It does not turn very well and this is a problem for me when I do many laps in a row. So it’s not possible to maintain a fast pace, because I cannot keep perfect lines and go fast without destroying the tyres too much. The lap has not been bad, with my ideal time we would have been in the Top 10, but I still lack some confidence. Let’s see if what can do tomorrow.”

“It has been a very positive day in which we were able to get many conclusions and some ideas to improve. It’s all very tight and the proof is that I’m 15^th but only nine tenths from the first. I made a mistake on my best lap, so I think we still have a small margin for improvement. Tomorrow we will test one thing on the other bike that I think can help us on this track. Today I enjoyed riding, we are close and I think tomorrow we have many chances to move to Q2. I want to do well and I am very motivated.”
